part of a trilogy of artworks made for fates-week 2025 on tumblr to celebrate fire emblem fates' 10th anniversary! each artwork has its own description, but as a set they're all gathered on one page for proper completion.
Light Kingdom
completed: May 29, 2025
Part one of a collection of artworks made for the Fates Week Tumblr event. The first prompt was on Light/Hoshido, so I did a stained-glass style illustration that I used to do in my IbisPaintX days with Hoshido Noble M!Corrin, commonly associated with the Birthright route of Fates. Figuring out the process and especially the pose, as well as the meticulous details of the armor, was certainly a process, but I was immensely satisfied with the end product as it all came together, especially after adding the processing to really make it look like stained glass. This experience will hopefully make the sister piece all the more breezy to do ;)

Dark Kingdom
completed: May 30, 2025
The second artwork made in advance for Fates week. The second prompt was Dark/Nohr, so naturally I inverted the first piece to reflect the aesthetics of Nohr and Fates' Conquest route, featuring female Corrin. This one was faster to finish now that I had a better feel of the process of this stained glass-type art, though balancing the dark colors of the lineart, armor, and background was tricky. One of the other obstacles in this particular piece is that Nohr is lacking much painted or CG references outside of fuzzy 3DS models, so the background was based on a dark wasteland is a bunch of dense details, which combined with all the other elements in the piece, created some very hectic linework. Despite the struggles however, I'm still very satisfied with this piece and how it stands next to the Light Kingdom one.

Silent Kingdom
completed: June 3, 2025
The final piece for my Fates week artworks. The third prompt for the fandom week was “Valla”, which was a natural conclusion to the first two kingdom-based drawings. My main idea going into this was symmetry, depicting both versions of Corrin (as well as an opportunity to draw their base “Nohr Prince/Princess design), the dragon stone, and significant locations associated with Valla (the bottomless canyon and the assorted floating islands that many Valla maps use). Maintaining the balance of details was particularly difficult during the lineart phase, and the top half somewhat struggled with contrast and detail due to the dark color scheme and lack of good reference images. But regardless, I think this is a fitting conclusion for this art series that I’m very pleased with.
